I don’t do a ton of video editing, but I do some basic stuff that just needs scene edits and maybe a title here and there. I’m interested in hearing your opinions of whether I should stay with MBP or move to iPad. Price wise, staying with MBP and moving to IPad / pencil would be about the same as I have priced up an external SSD drive (to use for both setups) and also some extra accessories that I would want with the IPad. The IPad would offer me the option of handwriting using the pencil for some of my other tasks that I would like to do. I’m also considering Lumafusion but that would require trading in my MBP for an IPad Pro as I can’t justify having both. From my research it appears that Final Cut Pro would be a good fit but it’s pricey. I am looking for software with a user friendly interface and a reasonable learning curve for a beginner. I currently have a 2019 base model MBP which is used for web browsing and email. I travel a lot for work and want to create travel vlog footage using my iPhone 11 Pro and my drone, I want to edit this and create some cinematic content for my personal family use. I have a 4K drone and do a lot of aerial filming, currently I haven’t done any editing with the footage but I want to get into that side of things. Looking for some advice for my video editing needs.
